Sikkha Project - Dharma Courses and Mitra Study
How It Started
How It's Going

A central strand of the Sikkha Project’s work has been the careful strengthening and refining of the Mitra Study Course, a gateway through which many people take their first deep steps into Triratna’s system of practice. Over time, it became clear that while the course was rich and well-loved, there were areas where greater clarity, coherence, and progression could support both Mitras and those leading study. The project has been listening, gathering feedback, and reflecting on how the course can more fully embody an integrated path of training.
The Sikkha Project has continued to design and provide high-quality Dharma courses that are now used widely by Centres and Groups for both newcomers and established practitioners. These courses do more than offer clear and progressive training, they directly strengthen local Triratna communities. By providing well-structured, accessible programmes that Centres can confidently run, they generate vital income that supports rent, utilities, outreach, and the day-to-day life of the sangha. In this way, the project not only deepens practice but helps create the financial stability that allows Centres to thrive and serve many more people.
